Couldn't post on this thread, so fortunately took a pic before I lost the post (attached).

Lawro on BBC predicting a 2 0 win for Sheffield not giving us much of a chance would love to prove him wrong

What does he know? Worst player ever to play for the Bees.

Lawrenson is an old dinosaur who never gives any of the underdogs a chance when predicting games. Never has and never will. He's one of those pundits who when he speaks makes me "zone out" and not take any notice of what's being discussed.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

You should see his predicted Premier League table so far this season, which is based on his match day predictions. He hasn’t predicted Manchester Utd to lose once yet!

So it's 28 years since we lost in the 3rd round of the FA Cup (in the first tie anyway..)

Don't forget that in this round we've turned the tables a number of times.

We've drawn with higher league Swindon Town away.
We've drawn with QPR away.
We've drawn with Chelsea away (technically a home game switched to Stamford Bridge)
We've beaten higher league Swindon Town & Colchester at home.

Nothing to fear at all from Sheffield United!

Here's some videos I found from our rare 3rd round appearances:

Obviously wanting Barnet to go through, but in reality a 2-0 loss wouldn't be too bad a result.

I'm expecting a drubbing but it would be nice to score 1 as we did at Old Trafford.

Every time I see that clip from the Chelsea game I’m still convinced that Haag is going to get his toe on the end of that cross. Every single time.

Alas.

Ah of course, I was there! It's odd, Barnet's wiki page on FA Cup had early 50's stuff, but didn't even mention the Chelsea game which probably saved the club.

That was one hell of an atmosphere at Upton Park. if I remember rightly (and i'm sure you'll correct me if not) - we took the lead from a cracking Spike Carter goal from the edge of a box, but Rob Lee inspired Charlton were just too good.

We were missing Paul Showler who had been our form player as he was needed by the police who he was PT with to work at a different game up north.... He only had dispensation apparently to play Saturday games.

Is that tosh? It's how I remember it.

That match at Upton Park was brilliant.... I remember queuing up outside and the Barnet fans were deafening... The terrace was packed with thousands of Bees.... Great memories!
