Why does everything have to be sexism or any other kind of ism.
It's opinions.
Some found her annoying and shrill, some didn't!

Personally I can't stand Jonathan Pearce but it's not because he's a bloke!!

Of course it’s not necessarily sexist if you don’t happen to like a particular commentator (although I suspect women suffer to some degree from the fact that we are just not accustomed to hearing a female voice describe the football, and therefore to many it simply somehow sounds ‘wrong’.).

And people are obviously entitled to their opinions, and others are entitled to disagree with them. I was simply disagreeing with the opinion that the BBC employing a woman to commentate on football is ‘PC box-ticking’ and the inference that somehow the neutral, non-political act would be to exclude half the population from this occupation!

Women commentators are fine and a lot more knowledgeable than a lot of the male ones. And yes, Jonathan Pearce is terrible.

Oh for goodness sake! Nothing to do with her being a woman, other female commentators are great. She was not.

The box ticking comment was because I didn't think she was very good, so was trying to see why else she could have possibly been selected.

I'll take her commentary if it gives us the same result against the fake bees!

Their fans, officials and stewards really were very classy and pleasant. Hope their players can deliver for them in the rest of the season.

Barnet Council Tweet:

In case you hadn't seen this, not too many complements to the council regarding their congratulatory tweet.

It got Barnet council the 4th most engaging tweet on UK gov websites on 7th Jan they really are utter twats. They are still mostly run by Crapita. Wouldn't be surprised if they got some form of bonus so at least it would have cost them .but I am not bitter of course

I thought I recognised one of the guys from that vlog amongst us at that match! They covered the Stockport match in the away end.
