We have signed a defender on loan from Shrewsbury for 3 months.

His Wikipedia is not very promising, keeps signing for clubs on loan then getting dropped after looking below par. The fact that McGhee signed him at Motherwell doesn't bode well.

As we're just posting about this kid, might as well chip in. MCB you are slacking here mate. Normally you're 1st with post about new signings. It's ok I won't hold it against you. Just don't let it happen again.

6 foot 3 ins tall, plays as a left footed centre back, but can fill in at left back as well.

Could slot in nicely as part of our 3 man defence.

Yep, I imagine Still's got his eye on him being the left-sided centre back of the three. However, the pessimist in me worries that we'[ve moved for this guy because the injury that forced Tutonda off last Saturday is going to keep him out for some time (because Barnet), and so we need more cover on the left side of defence (probably with Johnson or Payne in the wing back role, and Jules as the left-sided centre half.)

I like the 3-5-2 formation, but only because we have two genuine attacking wing-backs in the form of Alexander and Tutonda. With a less pacy, more defensive replacement for either, it won't work anything like as well.

Let's hope his dodgy hamstring survives.

I wonder when new players get the guided tour round the complex, they get to see Luigi's place of work?

Sorry fella :ouch:

Tony's stopped calling me to give me a heads up since I cancelled my membership after Harrogate fiasco

Current odds:

2/1 - will be injured in first appearance and sent back to shrewsbury
Evens - will be injured during training and sent back to shrewsbury
1/3 - will be injured falling off Luigis massage bench and sent back to shrewsbury
1/500 - will be injured at some point during his stay with us

Still's pre-match interview suggests I was wrong to worry about Tutonda being injured... and that I should have been worried about Johnson being injured! Says he picked up a knock last Saturday.

Great.

I've always like Eliott Johnson but in absolute truth, Zak Jules was better than him today. Looked like he'd been playing for us all season.

Zak has a good presence about him. Looks relatively composed on the ball.

He did well I thought. Looked more comfortable than Robson who was not at his best.

He did well I thought against a testing opposition attack.
