Probably attracts quite a lot of disaffected Seasiders anxious to escape the run down town that is Blackpool...rudebwoyben wrote:Just giving that as a reason why there would not be any players who have played for both clubs.pgbee wrote:And we used to be a L2 team last season... oops! I can't think of anyone either. Any suggestions for him?
Let's just see how long Fylde survive at this level without a sugar daddy. The club isn't even based in a particular town, the ground is in the middle of the countryside!

Anyone know if the build up for the Wembley boxing event is likely to cause tragic issues around our match?

Rolls off the tongue easier than Kirkham and Wesham, which is what they were called until 2008.amberforever wrote:Fylde, doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue does it? What are their chants like! Let’s hope our players are fit...... I can hear Luigi cracking his knuckles!
I remember them winning the FA Vase the first season they competed in it, just before they changed their name. Didn't imagine then that they'd be playing us on level footing 11 seasons later.

The attendance might be a bit tragic and I'm not totally confident of the result either tbh.amberforever wrote:Anyone know if the build up for the Wembley boxing event is likely to cause tragic issues around our match?

Did we get told why Harrison was out last week and for how long?

No of course not!MCB wrote:Did we get told why Harrison was out last week and for how long?
I love Luisma & really miss his skils!

Back in London until Tuesday, so off to watch my first game since the Chesterfield game last season and my first viewing of Still football for 17 or 18 years, however long it's been. Have to admit, I'm not as hyped as I should be considering it's only my second Barnet game since Ian Hendon's last match as manager at Accrington away!

Jules at the back?
Sweeney midfield?
Jackie Taylor on wing?
Shaq and blitz up front.

... All we have to do is keep winning the next game ...
Re: AFC Fyld£ (TWV) The Fylde of Dreams Match Thread
I expect it’s simply Jules for Johnson and Coulthirst for Walker, with the others lining up as they were, i .e. Jules on the left of the three centre halves in place of Johnson (Robson in middle, Sweeney on the right). And Adams behind Taylor and Fonguck in a midfield 3.natwilk wrote:Jules at the back?
