Squad numbers
Squad numbers
Released just now with no number 9.
Does this suggest we will be signing another striker before the season starts? I hope so.

Re: Squad numbers
John Still said he would replace Akinde in his own time! That will be why 9 has been left blank. no different to last season when 11 was left blank before we signed Coulthirst.tpBEE wrote:Released just now with no number 9.

Re: Squad numbers
All I can think seeing those numbers is what a ridiculously big squad we still have. Save some pennies, get another 6 or 7 wages off the books and invest in the further 1 or 2 quality players we need. I'm pretty sure the manager has things in hand though.
We're the West Bank Underhill......
Re: Squad numbers
Who is Loic Hernandez? Is he the reserve goalkeeper? KML doesn't have a squad number, has he left?
Re: Squad numbers
u-18 left back from last season. KML available for season long loan according to John at Q&A so won't be given a shirt number.becbee wrote:Who is Loic Hernandez? Is he the reserve goalkeeper? KML doesn't have a squad number, has he left?

Re: Squad numbers
Maybe we should retire the #9 shirt as they do in gridiron when a great moves on.

Re: Squad numbers
I agree - we have far too many players in the squad and only one goalkeeper! Something isn't right.
Re: Squad numbers
1st team squad will be around 22 according to JS the rest will go out on loan where possible. Most of the ex youth team players will be on lowish salaries.finchleyman wrote:I agree - we have far too many players in the squad and only one goalkeeper! Something isn't right.
Re: Squad numbers
Anyone know if Aghadiuno is still with us? I noticed he played at QPR on Tuesday but no squad number for him.
Re: Squad numbers
The kids aren't in the plans for the first team squad, Still has made that clear. Wouldn't bother counting them. When you trim those out, you have a good number.
Re: Squad numbers
Could wonder why some of them have squad numbers in that case? Not that it matters, apart from making it look on the back of the programme as though we have a lot of players.mcleod23 wrote:The kids aren't in the plans for the first team squad, Still has made that clear. Re: Squad numbers
Generally everyone is given a squad number unless the intention is to send them out on loan all season.becbee wrote:Could wonder why some of them have squad numbers in that case? Re: Squad numbers
He did not play against QPR. He is yet to play under Still. You probably mistook him for a trialist. Aghadiuno is actually, a second year scholar.#Beebot wrote:Anyone know if Aghadiuno is still with us? I noticed he played at QPR on Tuesday but no squad number for him.
Re: Squad numbers
He was on the bench at QPR as per Twitter. He was a second year scholar last year, so would be too old for the U18s now.Afrobee wrote:He did not play against QPR. He is yet to play under Still.
