Hoppy's most-hated clubs
Hoppy's most-hated clubs
Not much going on at the moment so I am mulling over the Football Clubs that I hate the most.
This is not easy as many of the Clubs that I have loathed over the years are now so low down the pyramid (eg Romford, Ilkeston) they are not worth wasting hatred on. Others are so high up the pyramid (eg Man Utd, Sours) that, whilst I want them to lose every game they play, I won't lose sleep if they don't.
Anyway, after several minutes of contemplation I have come up with a Premiership/EFL top 3 and a non-League top three.
See if you agree on any of them.
Premiership/EFL
1. Spurs (possibly the most annoying and arrogant supporters in the country)
2. Leeds ( I've hated them since the 60's and I wish them nothing but relegation).
3. Newcastle (They haven't won anything for decades yet they claim to be such a "big" club.
Non- League
1. Wealdstone ( Have consistently been an annoying, irritating bunch of oiks. One good season in decades yet, like Newcastle, think they are a big club.
2. Maidstone ( Like Weakdstone too big for their boots).
3. Enfield Town (Got to be in the top three. Similar to Wealdstone and Maidstone, would have been number 1 but they really are non league non-entities now, so my hatred is a bit more watered down).

Re: Hoppy's most-hated clubs
In no particular order, all the time : Wycombe, Man Utd, Salford, Northampton, Enfield (who?) and Wealdstone. Anyone playing the Bees for that afternoon only.
Re: Hoppy's most-hated clubs
Some years ago I think this category was included in a Two Together survey.
Then I voted for Porthmadog, but I have only seen them play once so that was harsh,
still dislike Liverpool, and kaairdiff city are in league with Satan

Dislike: Notts County, Wealdstone (both entirely fan based)
Pity: Arsenal

Re: Hoppy's most-hated clubs
EFL/PREM:
1 L*nc*ln City. 1987 Sincil Bank.
2. Man Utd. As they are the 'biggest' club I've always disliked them - a bit harsh I suppose.
3. Oldham: Dodged playing us by finishing 5th-bottom or thereabouts for most of the last 10 years, now we've gone down they finally finish 4th bottom!
NL:
1. Ilkeston. Underhill 1982(?)
2. Torquay. Disgracful tactics in both games last time we played them and also the dodgy late p/p the time before that. Funny, I didn't dislike them after they relegated us in 2001!
3. Fylde. Do we need another money laden club in that area - we've already got Fleetwood?

Re: Hoppy's most-hated clubs
West Ham by a country mile. The sheer arrogance of the fans and the myth that is the "West Ham way" and they are jammy.
Since the FA Cup final appearance in 1980, they have been absolutely dire, with a footballing philosophy best summed up by a
long ball to Carlton Cole, and midfield foulers such as Paul Ince.
The move to the London Stadium only exposed the anti social behaviour that the stewards at the Boleyn Ground turned a blind eye to
for too long. The stadium is not the problem, it's the behaviour of the minority within.
Don't get me started on how the FA could let West Ham get away with the Tevez saga at expense of Sheffield United.
There is no way they would have made the same ruling if it had been the other way round.

Re: Hoppy's most-hated clubs
Chelsea is a team I don't find exciting to watch.
I was impressed with Lincoln fans at their place but when they came to THL I was not impressed.

1) The Arse
2) The Chavs
and more recently both Cov and Morecambe for contriving to play what amounted to a pre-season friendly last game of the season; they can both feck right off.

Watford although trying to get over that one!! Stems from school days and the ribbing I got for supporting Barnet, still take joy in them losing.
