Getting it right on the Pitch

Postby I Was There » 31 Mar 2018, 08:58

Got to game yesterday via Tube (High Barnet-Totteridge0/251/stroll down Bacon & Egg Lane.
Game was played under terrible rainy conditions & very cold.
However, a good performance/effort by team with big support in the Bus Shelter Stand end at The Hive.

Sweeny had a very good game, kept his feet & balance on the muddy bits.
Sweeny made a reappearance from the exile, at the Port Vale away game, I Was There.
Where on earth had he been for the previous 12 months or more?
It was Mark McGee's first game in charge, so he got something right.

John Akinde took his penalties with great confidence (we never doubted him at the Bus Shelter end)
There was also a blistering shot that hit the bar.
All in all, a good team all round effort.
6 wins on the trot would put us on 51 points, a possibility, could keep us up.

So I say to Chairman Captain K we are all here to support the Bees, all you have to do is back your manager by
digging deep into your pocket/Hive Enterprise revenue and get the right players in.
Without fans, good players, a decent manager and a friendly Local Authority relationship, the club will fizzle out like a damp squib.
DONT EVER FORGET THAT Captain K, its not all about you.
I and many other fans have been supporting Barnet through thick and thin, in my case more than 53 years.
Without fans and strong Barnet identity there is no club, its about us and the players.
