Reads pretty bitchy to me, but as you say, Tweets don't convey the emotion behind it.PAC66 wrote:Hardly bitching! Re multiple managers - he played for Eames, Nugent, McGhee, Westley @ Barnet , given the lack of points won in that time, may say more about their selections rather than a player who IMO was under utilised.X-Bumble wrote:Rather than bitching on Twitter, maybe he should listen to the multiple managers who have probably given him the same advice.PAC66 wrote:Strange decision, and strangely under used through out the year has looked one of our better players when he plays, brings energy and pace - which we have lacked. Martin Allen back (again)!

Re: Martin Allen back (again)!
I think players at lower levels abroad are generally much stronger technically but don't get a look in here due to lack of scouting resource and the lazy stereotype that they'll just get bullied out of games, a bit like the people who think "Barca couldn't do it on a cold night in Stoke" etc.Agewills wrote:This has turned into quite an amusing thread I have to say.
If Spanish/French/Italian lower division players are so much better and so much cheaper, why isn't every team in L1 and L2 (and the Conference for that matter) doing what you suggest?
Back on topic - I wasn't that surprised that Akinola didn't feature in MA's squad of 20. We have to be a bit harsh here and make the cuts. But I wonder if Mad Dog has a free agent lined up though?
Let's not forget that MA wanted to release Luisma before the 14/15 season until TK stepped in.
Re: Martin Allen back (again)!
Not sure if anyone has seen this? - Allen on an 8 week contract apparently.

Great , another summer of dithering to come as to who is the manager next season!!X-Bumble wrote:Not sure if anyone has seen this? - Allen on an 8 week contract apparently.

The problem with MA is that you always wait for the news he has buggered off again. We need long term stability in terms of a manager rather than wondering at which point he'll walk off and leave us in the lurch.jerroll wrote:Great , another summer of dithering to come as to who is the manager next season!!X-Bumble wrote:Not sure if anyone has seen this? - Allen on an 8 week contract apparently.

Re: Martin Allen back (again)!
Bizarre to me that people are reading Akinola's tweet as 'bitching'. I can't see how else you can read it other than as a message to himself that there's no point looking for sympathy and that all he can do is work even harder, and therefore in effect as a public statement that he will be knuckling down, i.e. doing the opposite of bitching on social media!
Re: Martin Allen back (again)!
If he pulls it off he should be asked to continue the rebuild. Simple as that. If we go down, Tony has a decision to make as to whether he feels MA can repeat our promotion.jerroll wrote:Great , another summer of dithering to come as to who is the manager next season!!X-Bumble wrote:Not sure if anyone has seen this? - Allen on an 8 week contract apparently.
