He could so easily have pointed to it, as past managers have. Especially as it must be really gutting to get the opportunity of a lifetime, a chance to prove yourself, and then get dealt such a terrible hand. Wish we had got to see him with 8-10 games at our strongest line up.

Ultimately it was unfair for him to bear such pressure so am delighted we now have an experienced manager who can hopefully revive our fortunes and allow Rossi time to relax and come back even stronger.

Get the impression that he felt it was unfair on those who stepped into the gaps for him to appear to criticise the fact that they weren't as good as the players they were of necessity replacing. Says a lot for the man.
