Manager next season
Manager next season
Assuming Kevin Nugent is not manager next season, who would people realistically like us to appoint for next season. In my opinion this appointment could be the most crucial appointment TK will have made with the potential this squad of players has. Personally, I would like us to try and get Chris Powell however, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't come here! My other choice would be John Askey who has done a Superb job at Macclesfield.

I'll av a go...
Re: Manager next season
Martin Allen (I'm not joking) or Kenny Jackett. Allen becomes a more credible candidate each day.
Re: Manager next season
Gary Waddock if Shots not promoted. Knows the club , set up etc and was successful when standing in for MA.

Re: Manager next season
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - he can work with a DoF and work wonders with Burton Albion. He likes playing attacking football with younger players on a reduced budget - that fits into TK requirements so why not?
Re: Manager next season
Steve Coterill-Knows all the leagues in the EFL and has promotions.
Unfortunately unlikely seeing where he is based.

Re: Manager next season
Why not get in 1 of the managers that TK was overwhelmed with who applied for the job after Martin left?

There are lots of names on there who should be instantly dismissed as optons for a variety of reasons.BeeSuperEagle wrote:https://m.skybet.com/football/manager-s ... t/20628027
Nigel Adkins jumps out at me.
I suppose it depends if his period out of work after Sheff Utd is through choice or not. If he has been looking to get back into management then he might consider a middling League 2 club, but if it's through choice then more unlikely. The 1 thing that might be an attraction is the "project" in terms of Youth development and a long term strategy.

Re: Manager next season
Several of that list are too far North and wouldn't be able to relocate for the salary offered. Some others would lose too much face by coming to us e.g. Pardew, touted for England job in the past, would just laugh at the Barnet job.
