I find it quite depressing when readings comments about the negative aspects of Luisma's game then hear all the plaudits for the women's national team with people talking about passion and courage etc. It really is a national affliction to hate talent and skill, preferring endeavour. Then we wonder why our teams are full of foreign players and our national team is so poor.

The irony is that he was as passionate as anyone else. Colliding with a post in the last minute of a game that we'd comfortably won or hobbling around at the end of a game because we had made all our subs showed real commitment to the cause.

Players who will tear around the pitch can be found everywhere. Players who can open teams up and score goals make the difference and are hard to come by. A team of Togwells wins you nothing, so does a team of Luismas. It's all about the blend. Everyteam needs a Luisma or two to make the difference.
