Working on 90 points as a projected winning figure the teams involved can currently drop and still make 90 points:-

Barnet 17 points
Macclesfield 12 points
Grimsby 11 points
Bristol Rovers 10 points

I like the look of that John! 25pts needed @ 1.78 pointer per game.

So I would say we could lose 4 & draw 2/3 (3 would be 89pts but another team would surely need 90 with our GD although Grimsby aren't miles behind on that).

Surely we can do the following:
-Lose to let's say: Grimsby (H), Halifax (A), Kiddy (A) & Eastleigh (A)
-Draw to: FGR (H), Woking (H) & Halfiax (H)
-Win against: Gateshead, Welling & Nuneaton at home & Dartford, Altrincham, Alfreton & Wrexham away

I think we will keep more than two clean sheets in our remaining games.

2 points out the next 6 games?

.33 points a game when we average over 2? 1.14 points a game over the last 14 games?

Cannot but feel that "Maybe a bit harsh on Barnet" is more than wishful thinking!

I think predicting that we will only take 8 points from our final 7 home games shows how desperate some opposition supporters have become. That would mean dropping 13 points at home, as many as we have in our last 16 home games.

Grimsby may well end up with 88 points, but we will end up with significantly more than 81 points.

92 points will make us Champions (again).

I ran my forecasting program for the first time today and it is currently forecasting

Barnet 88
Grimsby 85
Macclesfield 84
Bristol 82

Looking at the Grimsby forecast it appears to miss the games yet to be rearranged so our game away at Halifax is missing and so is Macclesfields games against Telford and Braintree

I just used the Grimsby result predictor and guessed the top 4's results:

Barnet 95
Grimsby 95
Macclesfield 88
Bristol Rovers 86

Up on Goal Difference (the same way we got relegated). Although that means Grimsby would only drop 6pts until the end of the season!

We will beat Woking and get at least a draw away to Wrexham...

Just to add to the fun and games I have added a view of the top of the table based on points per game and showing the possible total for the top teams. Hopefully this is useful whilst there is a disparity in the numbers of games played.

have you calculated FGR on their actual PPG or the PPG based on their 3 point deduction?

Calculated on the whatever the table on the BBC has when it is copied into a spreadsheet! So the answer is ... ummm I don't know. :?:
I will investigate when I do the post-Saturday update (which will be on Sunday morning).
