Re: Hive
New stand is nice the rest is nothing special so far.
Like the Hive as a training ground and all the rest but time will tell what it going to be like as a football ground.

Re: Hive
I'm quite impressed with how this is looking now actually. Since I don't live in the country I've never had a chance to check out the hive in person, but based on the photos I thought that the large stand on one side was the only thing that looked decent. The end stands looked small and a bit "tinny", and I imagined the other side of the ground to look comical with only a couple of rows of seats. After seeing the latest photos its looking different to how I expected. The smaller seated stand actually looks a perfectly reasonable size, and it'll look miles better if the cladding on the stand is changed. in proportion to the goals, the ends dont look all that tiny, and should hopefully maintain the sense of intimacy that many new grounds lack.

I was wondering about this too. Having the main building matching the new stand would make a huge difference I think.mcleod23 wrote:Any news on the cladding being replaced soon??

Re: Hive
I would imagine it wouldn't be in the same budget. The stadium build will be a separate project and the cladding is already deemed to be part of the renovation process. I was just wondering if it was going to be complete before the beginning of the season that's all.jerroll wrote:Id rather spend the money on another striker!sheriffsam wrote:I was wondering about this too. I was thinking this - if the terrace covers / backs were painted black along with the cladding on the other stand, it would look very good indeed.KevinBFC wrote:Are we re-cladding behind the goals too?
Re: Hive
Seems pointless cladding the away end if it's going to be replaced by the South Stand from Underhill next season. In saying that, the plans did indicate both those small stands being the same colour as the West Stand, so maybe it's just a question of what can be done before the season starts.

Re: Hive
They have painted the porta cabins white which are being placed behind the terracing which would suggest that they are staying as they are.
P.s. back to the seat colours, these were not taken from the basketball arena, they are new and they WERE ordered that colour by you no who !

Well your wrong the cladding is much better than a boring grey or white
Re: Hive
I agree. The design/look of the West Stand is superb and I've also read some pretty positive comments about that stand even from supporters of other clubs. White or grey painted steel and light grey cladding has been done to death by many clubs, so seeing something different is refreshing and gives the stadium a more unique look. Hopefully the rest of the stadium will indeed eventually match the colours of the West Stand.jonbonbaby wrote:Well your wrong the cladding is much better than a boring grey or white
