What’s stopping Keeley from coming to us on a season-long loan next year if we’re in L2? Seems a decent option for all parties.

Re: Chairman's statement
Some tub-thumping (and ever-so-slightly patronising) comments from TK under the ugly ad block at the bottom of the article. I missed them on first read. Keep scrolling.

Re: Chairman's statement
Going back to the way TK phrased his statement: During the long months of Covid, I busied myself with trying to find a way to bring the Club back home and met with Barnet Council to ask for their support in locating a suitable site on which I could build a new stadium. I undertook to fund the full c...

Re: Altrincham (a) The Wynter Tour Match Thread
what if Keeley was just available before other potential targets in other positions? I think we all need to remember we don’t see what goes on behind the scenes. If they are looking to recruit there will be multiple targets in every position. It’s not always cut and dry This. Also, I’m wondering wh...

What that match taught me is that you just don’t stay home and watch the stream instead of going to watch live, no matter how tired you are or how early you need to get up the next morning. Lesson learned.

Re: Stevenage Fan Engagement
I live in Hitchin and obviously try hard to ignore Stevenage. But this Saturday pretty much every member of my son’s U11 football team is going to the Lamex as a group. They’ll be a guard of honour (bleurgh) and get to kick around on the pitch beforehand. Maybe some other elements too - for £15 a he...

Re: Boredom Hoof (Hive) The Play Hoof Eliminator Match Thread
I thought the ref was a bit of a non-factor. He appeared to only blow for fouls when he could be certain they were fouls, possibly to discourage players throwing themselves to the floor. Kabamba and Gorman were each guilty of this, and he rightly called them out for it. On the other hand, it means K...

If you haven't heard it, go back and find the Beespod interview with Laurie. He came across so well, really thoughtful about football and about life. He seemed like a manager in the making.

Re: Wealdstone (Away) The Match Thread on the Fence
Not to mention the weirdo who used his car to ram into a bunch of away fans as we walked towards the exit. He just drove normally into the crowd, kept pushing through and seemed surprised and then furious when people shouted at him and banged his car. Odd behaviour.

Bit grumpy here. I’ve already booked a train ticket and an overnight stay in Newcastle that’s costing me loads and is non-refundable, only to find the train strike’s off. What’s the right move now? Book a match ticket for the wasteland stand or wait until we’re switched? Sent from my iPhone using T...

Re: Sarfend (Away) The Match Thread With A Fishy Tax Return
I’m encouraged by the way New Zealand bowler Matt Henry recovered from a back spasm in the test match on Monday. Comm restore thought he was done, but the physio worked on him over lunch and he bowled 10 overs in a row after that. Hopefully Walker will perk up in the same way. Sent from my iPhone us...
