I love the likely lads reference.
Great episode.
And the most iconic theme tune from my childhood to boot!

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
Can’t be bothered to read the entire thread - too depressing (and sick of seeing the term ‘bottling’ - what does that even mean?). So I’m probably just reiterating comments already made. But I had a very uneasy feeling yesterday as soon as I saw the lineup. 3 centre backs and 3 deep lying midfielde...

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
Didn't someone actually bet on Solihull winning 4 nil?

Our manager is getting a reputation for really bottling the big games.
Such a shame for you lot at the game after such an exciting build up.

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
Very early for a 2 nil lead.
I'm going for 3-2 Barnet after a few subs and Solihull start to tire.
I've seen Barnet come back from 2 down many times.

Re: Gateshead Kicked Ou
It seems that Gateshead Council were unwilling to offer the 10 year security of tenure that the club needed to be eligible for promotion to the EFL as they’re looking to outsource the operation of the stadium to a private contractor. Probably the reason why the council has been compelled to do this...

Re: Bees v Dorking 23rd March
We did do a concessionary price to Prem ST holders for a Prem free match day last season but it wasn't very well publicised. It would be a good idea to repeat it but give it better notice this time. Why would any floating fan want to go to Wealdstone's horrible ground when they could come to The Hi...

Re: York City (The Hive Tenporary Stadium) The Say Harrow Wave Goodbye Thread
Unfortunately a few games like this - Bromley especially I would assume. Another negative of the trophy run you could say! Another? What are the others? Injuries and fixture congestion. I take it you wouldn’t want to come to Wembley then if we were to make it. I would not lose any sleep if we did n...

Very good point Spanker.Spanker Ridley wrote: ↑23 Feb 2024, 10:25 It would interesting to know if TK and/or planning consultants have engaged with the school. A joint application would appear to have more chance of success than an application from the football club.

If that was being wrong, I don't wanna be right !jamiefrbees wrote: ↑21 Feb 2024, 13:38 In a nutshell, everyone was wrong to get excited so quickly and in real terms there's no evidence that anything - in real terms - has changed.
Meanwhile TK looks good as she's shown how much he still cares and continues to do all he can.

Re: Chairman's statement
] So the journalist rang Barnet Council and got that quote, but didn't get his name? Without a name, this is a non story, click bate article and should be treated as such. That's not how a press office works- if you contact a press office for comment and they give you one it usually gets reported a...

Re: Chairman's statement
Fair point he should exercise diplomacy when dealing with the council but shame on any councillor that forms a position based on comments to a newspaper instead of the actual merits of the proposal and its potential benefits to their constituents. Agreed re the council. But they're not a court of l...
