Re: Ebbsfleet (a) The Rain Station Match Thread
Loudmouth the blogs are fine and I don't agree with the comments about changing the format, I like the fact that I know what the format is rather than having something different every week. I know how much effort goes into editing these things and putting it together and your effort is appreciated b...

Re: Where have the crowds gone
Everyone seems to be writing essays on this subject. Why? There is one reason only: the correlation between good football and attendance is linear. DC is getting things going in the right direction but we need to get back in the League and then a few seasons of at least play-off level football for ...

He moans about security, and then demonstrates why there was security.

Re: Communications from the club: Good, bad and mysterious
I appreciate the difficulty of having to communicate to fans with different views. But would an announcement of reimbursement for fans lead to squabbling or disagreement amongst fan? Probably ("But I bought a coach ticket" / "It's taken too long to do this" / "I wasn't reim...

Re: Striker signing anxiety
There is also the fact that we have shed both Tarpey and Harrison, who were almost certainly top earners, and brought in nobody to replace them. This would lead to the conclusion that there is money there, so other factors must be involved. I should imagine that Barnet are capable of at least match...

Re: Striker signing anxiety
I get the feeling there isn't much money in the pot for DC to play around with, not after John Still spunked it all on the D&R B-team. So yeah, agree with your post Norfolkbee, feels very much like mid-table ambition atm, at least until we can offload some of the dross we've signed.

Re: Where is message from club
To be fair, the PR & comms from the club over the past few seasons has massively improved on what it used to be. But given what the club pay for the position there's always a fear they'll get in someone rubbish when there's a change in staff. I know there's a new guy at the helm this season, hop...

Re: Antonis Vasiliou goes pro
Decent signing and congrats to him! Looked raw and very exciting when he came on towards the end of last season, so quick and strong for his size. Let's hope he's better than Gambin then. A player with undoubted talent but failed to deliver on most occasions. That's a pretty harsh assessment of him

Re: Scott Loach
The comments that caused Darren Currie to get involved were sent to Currie himself, so he obviously felt duty bound to come to the defence of someone who worked hard for the club, didn't make a fuss when he lost his place to a loan goalkeeper and has essentially been told he's surplus to requiremen...

Just proves how poor the standard of Non League Football in this country actually is then. Let's just hope that we only have one more year of this nightmare and get back to where we belong in the Football League. Lol. Maybe we're happy to see him go because we don't want a keeper who need some bizarre arbitrary motivation to play at his best.pgbee wrote:For all those happy to see him go, what greater motivation needed for him to play a blinder against us next season.

Re: Cousins Departs
If we're serious about any sort of promotion push, GK is one of the areas we had to improve on. Was never impressed with Cousins, far too error prone and like someone else already said, he didn't command his area at all.
