Re: Managers Signing their own sons....

Brilliant find Moonchild! That's made my day. Presumably in his first Notts interview when Allen said he had to provide for his kids, he meant giving them cushy jobs in the reserves. What a way to endear yourself to the fans. I'd love to know what 'London clubs' were interested in him. Crouch End Va...

Re: Fairclough Out - Sanchez movement gathers pace

My personal favourite is the bit where Dennis seems to imply that we would have most likely beaten Man Utd due to having PF at the helm but for Flitney's sending off. I'm surprised at the need for a reminder of Fairclough attributes and successes as I thought it's fairly clear that the vast majorit...

Re: Season expectations (all cups)

League- 13th
Carling Cup- Müllered in the first round.
FA Cup- Round 3. Why not.
Paint Pot- 3rd Round would be nice for once. Certainly either in the FA Cup or this.
Herts Senior- Let's win the whole damn thing again.

Re: MK Dongs friendly

Get over it The games at Underhill anyway so it not as if you are going to MK and giving them money. Those who are not going simply because it is MK dons are simply doing Barnet fc out of money. So like I said at start get over it and go to Underhill and put money into OUR club. In fairness, you'd ...

Re: Fixtures Released

There's no way Accrington play their two closest games in the first two games of the season. I'd safely put money on that fixture list being a crock of s**t. It's probably also worth bearing in mind that Football DataCo get a bit tetchy about fixture lists being published in full if you haven't paid...

Re: New Kit

Also, bear in mind it is being made this year by a company who have a reputation for making lower quality shirts than Vandanel. Not that I want to put off people buying Barnet shirts, just I don't want new fans to be put off Barnet by the shirts! Hummel aside, I can't remember us ever having a half...

Re: carling cup

It's a game of stick or twist really. Either a beatable team at home (a la Colchester or maybe even Brentford) for a biggish money spinner like Liverpool or Villa in round 2, or more realistically someone big away (West Ham, or maybe even Brighton's first game at their lovely new stadium).

Re: We're in the play off zone

A.F.C. Which surely stands for Association Football Club (thus should be below Accie?). Or have they done something appropriately pretentious and said it stands for 'A Fan's Club' or some other rubbish? I do believe it stands for 'A Fans Club'. Equally pretentious is their renaming of Kingsmeadow '...

Re: Home kit

Hmm, wouldn't be a fan of plain amber personally. Always struck me as looking a tad faded. They do some nice stuff with pinstripes though. Amber/Orange/Indeterminate colour between red and yellow with black pinstripes would look alright, provided we don't pinstripe the shorts like we did a couple of...

Re: Home kit

I just want black and amber stripes like the good old days. I think it was mentioned somewhere that the reason we have orange a lot is because it is a lot cheaper due to it being a very common colour. It's cheaper to make the scarves in orange, which is the reasoning, as scarves being a different c...

Re: Home kit

I trust it will be Black and AMBER vertical stripes as part of a cunning plan to at least make it appear that we've got taller players( well certainly the midfield) than we've actually got! Pretty sure there it's actually hoops which make you look taller, not stripes as commonly believed. Anyway, I...

Re: New Stadium at old Friern Barnet Sewerage Works!

Crouch end Vampires are still there! If this new recycling plant does't go through I would have thought any potential sites are well worth exploring. Also there are anti plant protest movements on line and posters are going up all over the place, it might be worth trying to form an alliance with th...
