The turf at Highbury with ashes on was relaid as a memorial garden in the grounds of the new flats.

In fact a memorial garden for Underhill would be quite fitting as well!

Re: Barnet v Stafford FAT Final 1972 DVD
Hi Flatty,I've got a copy of the DVD which you can have.
I looked for it it yesterday and couldn't find it, but will have another look later.
I did lend it to Jack McCllelland's widow Pauline, but I'm sure she gave it back.
I'll repost with any news.

Re: Exiting the car park
I too am really surprised there isn't a designated walkway through the car park. My workplace had to spend thousands of pounds after a visit from Heath and safety putting in yellow walkways and no parking hatchings. That was for a car park about the size of two penalty areas and used by about 30 van...

Song for Luisma:
To the tune of Louie, Louie by the Kingsmen.
Louie Luisma,
Oh baby that's the way to score,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Re: Bacon rolls and pies
I wasn't happy at the £1.50 For the water either, I've just got back from Rhodes where a similar sized bottle is 50 cents (about 40p).
Water is totally overpriced here.
But £1 for the smallest Topic I've ever seen really took the biscuit!

Re: Bacon rolls and pies
I was bit peckish so went to get a mars bar and a bottle of water. They didn't have any mars bars, but had Topics. I said I'd have one and he pressed a few buttons on the till and said it was £2.50. I seriously thought he'd made a mistake and asked how much the water was. £1.50, he said. So the topi...

Re: Free parking
I know an ideal spot you can park your car for three months. The corner of Leys Gardens and Freston Gardens in Cockfosters EN4. It's a very nice area, with no parking restrictions and is on flat land. It's only a 5 minute walk to Cockfosters tube station. There's also some very good places to eat in...

Re: New Stadium?
Beeline - I think that is the land in question.
It's the same plot the estate manager showed me a few years ago that I mentioned in my earlier post.
There's been a lot of development there over the last few years, so another one won't make much difference!

Re: New Stadium?
I used to visit the site office on the Wrotham Park estate every day for business. I got to know the site manager quite well and about 5 years ago I asked him if there was any land available for a stadium for Barnet FC. He showed me a map of the entire estate. It was even larger than I thought, basi...

Re: Council withdraw Planning enforcement
Correct me if I'm wrong, (and I'm sure someone will!)
But if the council don't fight this it means anyone in Harrow Borough can just build something,
knowing the council won't fight it just to save council tax payers' money?

Re: BFCSA Website Lives On
I've told John about this thread and he tried to reply, but has had trouble logging on. He's sent me the following statement: I'm really pleased to see the old BFCSA site has been resurrected. And I'm pleased to see there were a few people who found it useful. I'm afraid I had to stop running it as ...

Sitting in a pub in Kings Stanley, 5 miles from FGR with my brother who lives here.
Not raining at the moment,or all morning, bit windy and they're playing football on the green opposite.
Grrrrr.
