Re: Team next season
There are no guarantees on EJ at the moment. We don't know if/when he will be fit or what long term impact his injury may have made. Even if he comes back as good as before, Tutonda has done so little wrong that I couldn't release him. He can play CB or LM too, while EJ can also play CM. So you are...

Re: Team next season
For me you start with the following and then move on from there depending on how many of them you can keep. Goes without saying that anyone who is not interested in playing next season should leave. I think a number of the others I've left out should be good enough but the squad is bloated and toug...

Re: Give MA the job now
Give him the job. Barry Fry, left, came back, was fired multiple times and that turned out ok. Sometimes things just work and for whatever reason it is Allen and Barnet just does.

Re: Chesterfield (Hive) It's the Final....Match Thread
Was Nelson overlooked when Westley or McGhee were appointed or didn't he want it? Seemed like he was the obvious choice, someone who had the respect of the players and affinity with the club and fans, rather than Westley who is the opposite. With Westley's history quite how it was deemed that he was...

Re: Goodbye London Bees, PeckingOrder etc
For me the managerial appointments were as a consequence of the sudden change in philosophy which followed Allen's departure last season, you know the total football with kids 'Crewe of the South' nonsense that worked so well under Robson. Rossi was unlucky but Westley was a panic move and as close ...

Managerial career win % Graham Westley 46 Mark Stimson 44 Martin Allen 40 Mark McGhee 39 John Still 38 Edgar Davids 37 Paul Fairclough 35 Lawrie Sanchez 32 Rossi Eames 29 Ian Hendon 29 Kevin Nugent 21 Mark Robson 19 Of course some of the others may have lower percentages because they actually manag...

Re: The General Election Thread!
Just thought I'd flag up the below website. Basically pick the issues that matter to you, select which policy you like best from the options then at the end it'll tell you which party it belonged to. You can then review your choices and see which parties you liked / hated. https://voteforpolicies.or...

Re: Impressed with Nugent
Best chance for decades is overstating it. If you take out the games it was virtually impossible not to win because our opposition were beyond incompetent at the time (Cheltenham & Orient) then our form since Allen left hasn't ever been that of playoff contenders. It's also naive to think that y...

Re: Concorde (hive) The Return Flight Match Thread
i'm merely pointing out you are just as likely to pick up an injury in training as in a game.I'm not suggesting we should play our full first team in the trophy, i think it is important though that some of our fringe players are match fit when we need them to play, what better for them in the absen...
